We are looking for a person for the position: Peacemaker (Employee for Activation of Local Communities)
The "Find Help" Foundation is looking for an employee to implement a project aimed at social and professional activation of the local community of Katowice (1 person) and Sosnowiec (1 person) for 50 hours/month. Basis of employment: mandate contract.
In addition to recruiting participants for the project, the employee will support project participants and maintain their motivation. The participants will be people from the project's target group, i.e. people at risk of poverty or social exclusion, living in the degraded/revitalized area of Katowice Śródmieście and Sosnowiec Centrum. The group of participants selected at the recruitment stage for the project is 80 people.
The tasks of the environmental worker will include in particular:
- work on recruiting project participants,
- activation of people at risk of poverty or social exclusion,
- participation in the implementation of the Local Activity Program aimed at activation, social inclusion and integration of the local community, - identification of the group, diagnosis of its expectations and needs, - cooperation with the project coordinator and other people implementing the project in order to perform the task more effectively,
- motivating project participants by: increasing motivation to act,
- strengthening faith in one's own abilities, positive self-esteem, building positive thinking, overcoming existing stereotypes, getting to know one's own predispositions and strengths,
- informing about current problems, the degree of project implementation and the progress of participants/checks,
- engaging project participants in the implementation of social/local events that will help them acquire social and civic skills and attitudes that will contribute to social and professional activation,
- conducting administrative matters (including maintaining a monthly work time card according to the indicated template, preparing reports by the end of the month to which it applies),
- implementation, as needed, of other current project tasks necessary for the proper implementation of the project.
Due to the specificity of the project, working days and hours may depend on the individual preferences of the target group, therefore it is recommended that the person submitting the offer has flexibility in working time. The work will take place stationary in the project office, but also in the field, in order to reach people with limited access to the outside world, establishing contact with the local community.
- The environmental worker should have the following competencies:
- professional experience relevant to the thematic scope of the advertisement (min. 2 years).
- knowledge of the specificity of the target group.

c) a person benefiting from the Food Aid Operational Program (PO PŻ),

"Find Help" Foundation under axis IX Social inclusion, measure 9.1 Active Integration, is implementing a project titled: "Local Activity Program for three communities of residents of Katowice Centrum, Chorzów Centrum and Sosnowiec Centrum", which aims to increase the level of social and local activity and increase employment opportunities among 240 people living exclusively in revitalized areas (in accordance with the Local Urban Revitalization Programs: Katowice, Chorzów and Sosnowiec). The project is implemented in the period: 01/06/2019 - 30/10/2021.
The project assumes parallel implementation of three local Local Activity Programs in the revitalized areas: Katowice Śródmieście, Chorzów Centrum and Sosnowiec Centrum. Each of the implemented programs will focus on the socio-professional activation of people at risk of poverty or social exclusion in a given district, taking into account its specificity, with simultaneous integration activities of a supra-local nature, which will strengthen and activate local communities.
The target group consists of a total of 240 people from the group (144K, 96M) who:
– are at risk of poverty or social exclusion, in accordance with the applicable definition,
– live in the area covered by support (Districts: Katowice Centrum, Chorzów Centrum, Sosnowiec Centrum).
During recruitment, bonuses will be given to people belonging to at least one of the following groups:
a) persons with a significant or moderate degree of disability,
b) persons with multiple disabilities and persons with mental disorders, including persons with intellectual disabilities and persons with pervasive developmental disorders (within the meaning of the Act of 27 August 1997 on vocational and social rehabilitation and employment of disabled persons and within the meaning of the Act of 19 August 1994 on mental health protection),
c) people using PO PŻ.
As part of the project, local offices of Local Activity will be established (headquarters in Katowice), offering an activation program, including a social panel, an initiative panel, a health panel and an educational and professional panel. As a result of the implementation of the project, some of the Project Participants will take up work and/or social activity.
The following activities are planned as part of the project:
– Social panel conducted in the form of soft skills training and active workshops,
– Integration panel,
– Health panel,
– Professional and educational panel.
It is estimated that as a result of the project implementation, the number of people at risk of poverty or social exclusion, looking for work, participating in education or training, gaining qualifications, working (including self-employed people) after leaving the program will be 24 people.
Total value of the project: PLN 1,011,871.20
EU contribution: PLN 860,090.52
Funding level: 95%
The project is co-financed by the European Social Fund under the Regional Operational Program of the Silesian Voivodeship 2014-2020.
