Dr. Monika Pizon, MD, PhD, joins the Coalition for Integrative Oncology

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Monika Pizon, a scientist and expert in the field of research on circulating cancer cells, has joined the Coalition for Integrative Oncology.

We are pleased that Dr. Monika Pizon's knowledge and experience will support the Coalition's efforts to develop a modern, integrative approach to oncological treatment and to build dialogue between science, medicine, and the needs of patients.

Dr. Monika Pizon, MD, PhD, is a researcher and has headed the Research & Development, Spezielle Immunologie section at the Pachmann Laboratory in Bayreuth, Germany, since 2010. Her research focuses on circulating tumor cells (CTCs/CETCs) and circulating cancer stem cells, with particular emphasis on their prognostic and predictive significance in breast cancer. She conducts translational research projects involving the development, validation, and clinical application of modern diagnostic tests. She has authored and co-authored numerous publications in peer-reviewed international journals and is an active participant in scientific conferences. In her work, she collaborates closely with clinicians, supporting the use of maintrac and stemtrac tests in diagnostic and therapeutic decision-making.
