Maja Surowicz

President of the Management Board

Psycho-oncologist, educator, crisis interventionist, naturopath, Holistic Wellness Coach, Radical Remission Health Coach

She is the founder and president of the Rakiety Oncological Foundation, and has been supporting cancer patients and their loved ones through all stages of the disease for almost 20 years. She specializes in crisis intervention, psycho-oncology, and integrative medicine. She gained her experience working in oncology wards and hospices for children, adolescents, and adults.

She holds a Master's degree in Special Education from the Academy of Special Education, postgraduate studies in Psycho-oncology from SWPS, and a Crisis Intervention Program at the Polish Psychological Association. She is currently expanding her expertise at the Dialog School of Psychotherapy, pursuing integrated and systemic training.

An expert in the field of integrative medicine, she is a member of the Society for Integrative Oncology. As a graduate of the Dr. Preeti Agrawal School and the Polish Herbal Institute, she combines expertise Holistic Wellness Coach with knowledge in the field naturopathy. He also has official authorization to work according to the program. Radical Remission, including both individual sessions as well as courses and workshops.

He approaches patients holistically, implementing what he calls "Cancer Project Management," treating cancer as one of many projects to be completed, which, after planning the tasks, schedule, and budget, becomes simply another stage in life.

Every Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and every Thursday from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. our Foundation's support hotline is answered.

Financial controller with over 11 years of experience in finance, including external audit (Big4). A graduate of the Faculty of Management at the University of Warsaw. On the Foundation Council since its establishment.

Magdalena Kowalska

Vice-Chairwoman of the Foundation Council

A biotechnologist, project manager, and psycho-oncologist by training, she graduated from the Wrocław University of Science and Technology, the Warsaw School of Economics, and SWPS University in Warsaw. She is the Vice President of the "Know More" Foundation, where she combines scientific knowledge, organizational experience, and empathy to support cancer patients.

Marcin Jakubek

Member of the Foundation Council

Doctor of economics, graduate of the Faculty of Economic Sciences and the Faculty of Mathematics, Computer Science and Mechanics at the University of Warsaw. Currently, he works as an assistant professor at the Institute of Economic Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences and at the National Center for Nuclear Research.

Agnieszka Piękniewska

Member of the Foundation Council

Finance specialist with over 15 years of experience. Master of Science in Economics, graduate of the Faculty of Economics and Finance of the University of Technology and Humanities in Radom and Postgraduate Studies in Accounting at the Warsaw School of Economics. Currently, the main specialist in the analysis and evaluation of projects in formal and financial terms at the Polish Film Institute.
Privately, he loves cinema, Argentine tango and parachute jumping.

Aleksandra Urbaszek

Member of the Foundation Council

Psychologist, Psychotherapist, Psycho-oncologist and certified Hypnotherapist.
For over a dozen years she has been working with oncological and hematological patients and their families, at every stage of the disease. She gained her experience, among others, in oncological and hematological departments in Warsaw, in leading clinical centers, also engaging in conducting trainings for doctors, nurses and volunteers. She also shared her rich experience and knowledge as a university lecturer at the Institute of Psychology of the University of Zielona Góra and as an author of publications, among others she is the author of chapters on coping with stress (Medycyna Stylu Życia, D. Śliż, A. Mamcarz, PZWL) and on communication with the patient (Oncology for primary care physicians, G. Charliński, WWJędrzejczak, Medical Tribune Polska). She completed 4-year Postgraduate Studies in Psychotherapy at the Professional School of Psychotherapy at the Institute of Health Psychology of the Polish Psychological Association and numerous trainings in psychotherapy. Since 2012, he has been running his private psychotherapy practice, helping patients suffering from depression, anxiety disorders and various other life difficulties.

Journalist for over 40 years. Press and television commentator. Founder and editor-in-chief of The Warsaw Voice (since 1988), also president of the Warsaw Voice SA publishing house. In 1991, co-founder of the Association of Children of the Holocaust in Poland. In the years 1995-2002, Vice-President of the Association of Polish Journalists, in the years 2006-2010, President of the Association of European Journalists - Polish Section, in the years 1997-1999, Vice-President of the Association of European Journalists.
Lecturer at the Faculty of Journalism of the University of Warsaw and the Diplomatic Academy. In 2010, he was awarded the Bene Merito Badge of Honor.

Michal Korczak

Managing Director of the integrated marketing agency Focus Nation. An experienced practitioner with over 15 years of experience in the industry and a specialist in marketing strategies.

A keen observer of trends, a believer in sustainable development in business. Promoter of balance between body, mind and the technology surrounding us. Privately, he is a fan of active recreation and plant-based diets.

Sylwia Pusz

Honorary Member of the Foundation Council

Business Development Executive at Netwise SA, with experience in business development in the retail sector in the CEE region. At SAP, she coordinated marketing, pre-sales and sales activities to best address market needs and offer the latest SAP solutions for the retail and manufacturing sectors.

Originator of Retail Day, a conference for the largest Polish retailers. Founder and head of the "Europe without Borders Association", working for Poland's accession to the EU.

She has been associated with the consulting and IT services industry since 2006. She worked as a management board advisor at EY and Asseco Polska. She was responsible for sales strategies and contacts with strategic clients in these companies, as well as the promotion and marketing of new products.

After obtaining a diploma in Law and Administration from the University of A. Mickiewicz and Economics of the Poznań University of Economics, she sat for two terms in the Sejm of the Republic of Poland, the European Parliament and the Wielkopolska Voivodeship Assembly.

Director of the Positive Impact Entrepreneurship Research Center, Department of Entrepreneurship and Ethics in Business, Kozminski University. Initiator of postgraduate studies "CSR. Sustainable Development Goals in the company's strategy.
He has been involved in business for over 30 years as an entrepreneur, advisor, ethics spokesman and promoter of corporate social responsibility.
Co-founder of the Responsible Business Forum, Coalition for the Circular Economy, co-author of the annual Ranking of Responsible Companies and Startups with a Positive Impact for Kozminski Business Hub, coordinator of Polish and international projects in the field of innovation for sustainable development.
Author or co-author of a number of books, including: "Foundations of social responsibility in management", "Responsible business in an irresponsible world", Transition Redesigned", "Understanding Ethics and Responsibilities in a Globalizing World", "Sustainable Business Models".

Marek Rybiec

Honorary Member of the Foundation Council

President of iWealth Management since December 2017.

He is a graduate of the Faculty of Geographic and Geological Sciences at the University of Adam Mickiewicz in Poznań. He also completed postgraduate studies in Capital Investments, Management and Marketing and the Investment Funds Market. In October 2013, he completed Executive MBA studies, organized with the participation of the Gdańsk Foundation for Management Education, the University of Gdańsk and Erasmus University.

He has been working on the capital market since 1996. In the years 2012-2017, he served as the President of the Management Board of Skarbiec TFI SA and Skarbiec Holding SA (a company listed on the WSE).

In the period 2007-2012 he held, among others, as a member of the management board of BRE Wealth Management SA, a member of the management board and later Vice-President of the Xelion Investment House (formerly Xelion Usługi Finansowi).

Member of the Council of the EFPA Polska Foundation – Foundation for Financial Advice Standards (www.efpa.pl) and founder and chairman of the Council of the Double Challenge Fund.
