The first bell has sounded thanks to you! We're summing up this year's campaign.
School supplies and art supplies were distributed to two institutions and young beneficiaries of the Rakiety Foundation. This is the result of the "First Bell" campaign, which involved companies, their employees, and individuals who wanted to work together to support children and young people affected by cancer.
Help that meets real needs
The goal of the "First Bell" campaign was to collect school supplies and art materials that young people could use during their studies, hospital stays, therapeutic sessions, and creative free time. The donations included backpacks, notebooks, pads, crayons, paints, markers, modeling clay, pencil cases, and various creative and educational kits. We wanted the assistance to be not only attractive but, above all, necessary. Therefore, before preparing the packages, we assessed the needs and willingness of our clients and their families to receive them.
Some of the collected items were donated to the Warsaw Children's Hospice and the Children's Health Center.
From the remaining donations, we have prepared 20 sets intended directly for children and young people supported by the Rakiety Foundation:
7 filled backpacks, 5 duffel bags, 8 rocket packs. We will be sending the packages to our young wards successively. We hope that their contents will be useful both during learning and during moments of relaxation, bringing the children a bit of joy and a sense of normalcy. Because behind every notebook, pencil case, or art kit lies something more than just a school item. It's also an expression of care and an important message: someone remembers you and wants to be there for you.
Joint action by companies and employees
The campaign was made possible thanks to the support of companies and employees associated with CD PROJEKT, Goodera, and PwC. Engagement took various forms – from internal fundraising events and grassroots employee initiatives, through the preparation of packages with necessary materials, to regular support. Each of these forms was significant. It also demonstrated that giving doesn't have to follow a single pattern. It can begin with the initiative of an entire organization, a specific team, or a single individual who encourages their colleagues to take action.
Thank you for helping us
We wholeheartedly thank all the companies, coordinators, employees, and donors involved in the "First Bell" campaign. We are grateful for every parcel delivered, every fundraiser organized, and every conversation that brought more people into the initiative. Together, we managed to create aid that reached where it was needed.
Thank you for joining us in helping young Rockets!
