Beautiful in spring

"Beautiful in spring - find yourself in illness" is a campaign of the foundation dedicated to women during and after cancer.

The 2021 edition took place online and lasted throughout March.
Every Monday in March at 19:00 there was an online meeting with specialists in the field of cancer, oncology, but also beauty, psychology and more

This year we have also planned the finale of the entire campaign, combined with the premiere of Magdalena Sekuła's book "Rakiety. "Beauty in cancer", which is a collection of conversations with specialists and patients taking part in our campaign. The first part of the final took place on June 11. at the University Clinical Center prof. Kornel Gibiński w Katowice, the second part took place at the Market Square in Katowice and we combined it with the "Woman in the Center" event, which also included a number of preventive activities and activities aimed generally at women.

The event also included the opening of the exhibition by Andrzej Grygiel, photojournalist of the Polish Press Agency and winner of, among others, World Press Photo about women with cancer entitled: "Undefeated", and the exhibition "Woman with a tattoo" presented by the only Tattoo Museum in Central and Eastern Europe from Gliwice.

As part of the campaign, the market also saw the premiere of Marta Ludwiczek's fairy tale "How not to get into trouble, i.e. advice for a mother and father's child", which teaches how to react in dangerous situations, meetings with experts and intergenerational workshops.
