Once again, representatives of the Rakiety Oncology Foundation took part in Society for Integrative Oncology International Conference – one of the most important international events dedicated to the development of integrative oncology.
This year's conference took place on September 29 – October 1, 2026 in Detroit, and its motto was: „Cultivating Community and Belonging in Integrative Oncology” – i.e. building community, belonging and cooperation in integrative oncology.
This event showcases current developments in this field, the latest research on the effectiveness and safety of therapies that support conventional treatment, and standards of care that put the patient at the center.
One of the most important messages from the conference was the need for an individualized approach. There is no one-size-fits-all solution in integrative oncology. The selection of supportive methods should depend on the diagnosis, treatment stage, patient's condition, needs, capabilities, lifestyle, and situation.
For us, participating in the conference is incredibly valuable. We can learn from international experts, explore the latest research and best practices, and then bring this knowledge back to Poland to better support our patients and develop care that connects, integrates, and addresses the real needs of people with cancer and their loved ones.
