My name is Urszula, I got sick 11 years ago for breast cancer. The disease was very aggressive and required radical measures, so I underwent mastectomy with removal of all lymph nodes. Unfortunately, the cancer does not go away quickly, it takes away your strength and energy, leaving you without even a moment of respite. Fighting for my health, I underwent chemotherapy, radiotherapy and hormone therapy.

Currently, I am a volunteer in the "Amazonka" association - I help other people and provide spiritual support. My experiences allow me to understand the pain, problems and fears of women struggling with breast cancer. I don't want them to feel alone in their fight, because I know that in such difficult moments, the support of another person is of great value.

I love various handicrafts, but my illness limits me from performing all activities with a heavy hand. For this reason, I receive a pension and cannot work. I still struggle with lymphedema to this day. Despite constant rehabilitation, self-massage and wearing special sleeves (day and night), each activity increases the swelling.

The operation of connecting lymphatic vessels has been performed in Poland for two years. I have already undergone appropriate tests (the so-called green scan and 3D MRI), after which the doctor concluded that I qualify for surgery that will completely reduce the swelling. The hand will become more functional and persistent inflammation will subside. The cost of this operation is PLN 35,000. I can't afford to finance it. Therefore, I am asking for support so that I can function better in everyday life. For me, the surgery is a ticket to activities that brought me a lot of joy, I don't want to watch helplessly as cancer deprives me of happiness and passion. I need your help in this fight.
