My history

Dream:

In May 2021, I was diagnosed with kidney cancer – RCC (clear cell carcinoma – C64). The disease was detected suddenly and completely changed my and my family's daily life.
I began treatment from the very beginning. Initially, surgery was necessary – a nephrectomy of the right kidney. A year later, a recurrence occurred, requiring another surgery. I was placed on systemic treatment – I took cabozantinib. Then, I was started on immunotherapy with nivolumab, which brought a huge improvement. The response to treatment was so good that there was real hope for an almost complete recovery. The test results gave us immense joy and confidence that the worst was behind us.
Unfortunately, after some time, the disease returned. Metastases appeared in the lungs. Further systemic treatment, everolimus, was initiated. For a long time, I did everything I could to keep the disease stable.
In January 2026, computed tomography scans revealed widespread disease with numerous metastases. Additionally, pericardial and pleural effusions developed, requiring urgent hospitalization and fluid decompression. It was a very difficult time – physically and mentally.
Today, I have another chance: combination immunotherapy (ipilimumab + nivolumab). This treatment offers a real possibility of halting the disease and even achieving long-term remission. Unfortunately, in my situation, the options for reimbursed treatment under the National Health Fund (NFZ) have been exhausted. Currently, my only option is expensive private therapy.
The cost of treatment is enormous. It includes not only the medications themselves but also private specialist visits, check-ups, travel to treatment centers, and specialized nutrition to support the body during therapy.
I'm not giving up. I want to live. I want to return to everyday life without the fear of future test results. My dream is simply time – time with family, with loved ones, time for a normal life.
I'm asking for your support. Every donation, every share of my story, brings me closer to receiving treatment that could save my life.
Thank you for all your help and kindness.
