What is Oksana like? In the same month in which she learned that she had cancer, she organized two ambulances, which she took herself, without anyone's help, to Ukraine, which was involved in hostilities.. Even though she has been living in Poland for five years, she could not remain indifferent to the suffering of her compatriots: terrified, in bombed cities, hiding in shelters. Despite the devastating diagnosis, she put her fear aside. She felt that she had to help those who were asking for help so much.

She faced the diagnosis quickly: between organizing one humanitarian transport, taking care of Kira and Tiiar, her two beloved children, and working two jobs. Breast cancer. Mean. This thought is still in the back of my mind. A series of chemotherapy treatments, after each one she ran out to work, help, and live as fully as possible.

The first breakdown came when my niece, who was just a few years old, cut off her beautiful, long hair. She came to her saying that she did it so that she wouldn't feel sorry - because Oksana was already putting wigs on her balding head. And when the daughter, crying, hugged herself and begged her to swear that she would not die.

With clenched fists, she organized integration classes for refugees, taught Polish, worked, and took children to new places so that they could see something new together. After a cycle of chemotherapy and two tumor removal surgeries, when there was hope that everything was going in the right direction, the cancer struck again. And the time has come that he must ask for support: continuing treatment, including non-standard treatment, is extremely expensive. Without the help of people of good will, the costs will be too high for Oksana.

Let's show that goodness returns. Oksana has given and still gives a lot of this goodness to those most in need.
