O intestinal cancer I found out two months ago – in September 2025 – during a colonoscopy that I had to undergo from the emergency room due to bleeding.
The moment of diagnosis was extremely difficult for me. 
At that moment, all I felt was emptiness and loss.

I'm currently recovering from two complicated surgeries, during which I lost a lot of strength and a significant amount of weight – 10 kg. The doctor recommended that I try to regain some weight, but it's slow going. I gained only 1 kg in two months.
I try to focus on everyday life and not return to difficult thoughts, and I usually succeed.
Due to my poorer fitness, I do lighter activities than before, but I try to be as active as I can.

I'm currently halfway through a body-building regimen that includes IV drips and vitamins, both orally and intravenously. Intravenous treatments cost approximately 11 thousand zlotys, and oral supplementation approximately 3 thousand. All of this requires regular refills because the medications run out quickly. We cover the costs from my wife's salary, as I haven't received rehabilitation benefits for three years.

I recently had a CT scan to check for metastases, and I will soon be consulting the results with two independent oncologists.
I also went to a hematologist because I have been having problems with it for several years. thrombocytosis.
Visits to specialists take up a lot of my time, especially since I'm also applying for a disability pension and undergoing spine rehabilitation – one section has already had surgery with an L4/L5 implant, and now I'm experiencing problems in the cervical and thoracic parts.

My family and friends know, support me and sympathize with me, but I try to show them that everything is fine because I don't want them to worry unnecessarily.
My wife and my dog, Łatuś, are with me all the time. He also has a pancreatic tumor and, according to doctors, he should not have lived for a year now, but he has been getting stronger lately.
I hope we can go through life together for a long time to come.
