Just a few months ago, Dominik's life was ordinary – work, home, wife, and two beloved little children, ages 2 and 4. Everything changed suddenly in October 2025.

After two grueling days battling the children's illness—rotavirus, which brought endless vomiting, stress about dehydration, and sleepless nights—the entire family was at the breaking point. Then Dominik himself began to feel unwell. First, he experienced vomiting and extreme drowsiness. Moments later, neurological symptoms set in—he began to mix up words and couldn't name objects correctly.

This was the beginning of a dramatic fight for life.

Dominik was immediately rushed to the hospital for life-saving surgery. The tumor in his brain was removed thanks to the excellent work of neurosurgeon Dr. Arkadiusz Nowak. Unfortunately, the joy was short-lived. Just two months later, the tumor regrew.

The diagnosis was devastating – stage IV midline glioma. The tumor is infiltrative and diffuse, making further surgery impossible. After a few days of oncological treatment, Dominik's condition suddenly deteriorated. Increasing hydrocephalus and progressive neurological impairment halted further therapy. Day by day, Dominik is losing mobility. The tumor is infiltrating the brainstem and midbrain – areas responsible for basic life functions. Doctors are blunt: the threat to life is significant, and death can occur suddenly.

Dominik has so much to live for. His young children are waiting for him at home, and they need a father.
That's why we're asking for help.

We are raising funds for intensive rehabilitation, specialized medical equipment, and treatment in Germany. The greatest hope lies in the modern TTFields (Optune) therapy—an advanced, non-invasive method for treating gliomas. It uses a low-intensity, medium-frequency alternating electric field to disrupt cancer cell division and lead to their death.

Unfortunately, in Poland, this therapy is not reimbursed by the National Health Fund. The initial payment alone costs PLN 240,000.

This is a huge amount for one family, but together we can give Dominik time – time for his children, for his wife, for life.

He was rushed to the hospital, where doctors performed emergency brain surgery and removed a tumor, saving his life. Sadly, just two months later the tumor grew back. The diagnosis was devastating – Diffuse Midline Glioma, stage IV. The tumor is infiltrative and cannot be surgically removed anymore.

Dominik's condition is rapidly worsening. Increasing hydrocephalus and neurological damage are taking away his mobility and independence. The tumor is now affecting the brainstem, the part of the brain responsible for vital life functions. Every day is a fight for his life.

At home, his two small children are waiting for their dad.

We are raising funds for rehabilitation, medical equipment, and treatment in Germany. The greatest hope is an advanced therapy called TTFields (Optune), a non-invasive treatment used for aggressive brain tumors. Unfortunately, this therapy is not covered by the Polish public health system.

The cost of the first stage of treatment alone is PLN 240,000.
