Kamil Wolny
I want to get up on my own feet, go for a walk, go to the store, take a shower on my own. Now the most important thing for me - to stand in front of the altar with the woman of my life.

Thanks to all of you, thanks to your donations and thanks to the fact that I received substantive and mental support, I am in such a wonderful place today.
We made our dream come true. We stood on the wedding carpet together. After all the bad times we had behind us, it was more than a dream come true for us. Thanks to all our donors, we were able to pay for the rehabilitation that put me back on my feet. No one gave us a chance that I would walk. On November 9, on our own, we fulfilled our dream of getting married. Our love and faith in a better tomorrow made us believe that every bad experience would bring us something good. Today we are here together. Still in love, still happy that we have each other.
I got back on my feet, the disease is regressing, even though no one gave me a chance. There are still many good and bad moments ahead of us and a long road to health. Thank you to everyone who helped us. We would like to thank everyone who believed in us and kept their fingers crossed for us. It was a very difficult year, which confirmed our belief that together with my wife we will overcome everything.
Dream:
It all started at the end of 2021, pain in the back around the lumbar section, standing work, so I downplayed it a bit - "it hurts and it will stop" - but unfortunately it didn't stop, there was radiation to my left leg to such an extent that I had trouble sleeping, the pain was so intense that no painkillers helped. In January, after several tomographs and an MRI, it was decided to take a sample of what I had inside. Unfortunately, this procedure showed nothing, a month of rehabilitation and recovery, another month without sleep.
February 14 was the day I last walked on my own, and since then I have been spending most of my time in bed, occasionally using a wheelchair. A stay in the hospital where nothing specific was done to me, transport to the Beskid Oncology Center, another biopsy and news about cancer cells, a quick decision to undergo chemotherapy.
Largely due to the cancer, my vertebrae in the lumbar region became very susceptible to fracture and in the end, two of them broke, completely ruining my chances for any rehabilitation during treatment. I finished chemotherapy around June, the tumor was very susceptible to the chemotherapy I was taking, then it was time for radiotherapy, which greatly accelerated the cancer treatment process, from a lesion measuring 20 cm to 10 cm, it decreased significantly and is now only 6 mm per 3.5mm.
At the beginning of August, I was qualified for surgery to fix the broken vertebrae. On September 13, the surgery was successful and there were no contraindications for me to start rehabilitation. In October I went back for another dose of chemotherapy, unfortunately after one dose it turned out that my bone marrow was in very bad shape, administering another chemotherapy could lead to complete bone marrow damage, since then, i.e. around mid-October, I have been in such a "suspension" when it comes to treatment. I am currently under the care of the Beskid Oncology Center and I am monitoring what is happening with my cancer.
