Dream:
My nightmare began in 2014, when I felt a lump in my left breast. This moment turned out to be the beginning of my many years of struggle with the disease, which still persists to this day. The diagnosis was quick and terrifying - after a standard ultrasound, oncology consultation and mammography, I found out that I was suffering from malignant breast cancer.
I started treatment with chemotherapy. As many as 6 courses of red chemotherapy were necessary to shrink the tumor, which was growing at a terrifyingly fast pace. I underwent sparing surgery, radiotherapy and hormone therapy. The price of keeping the cancer at bay was very high - chemotherapy was undoubtedly one of the most exhausting periods of my life.
I believed that this time, even if difficult and overwhelming, would lead me to victory and triumph over the disease. Unfortunately, I was wrong. After hormone therapy, I was confronted with the fact of recurrence. I am currently undergoing palliative chemotherapy, which I may continue until the end of my life.
Facing the disease, which is a constant threat to my life, I developed a huge will to fight. I want to act and look for new solutions on my own. Currently, what is important to me is, for example, strengthening the body, immunotherapy, rehabilitation and appropriate supplementation. These are steps that can give me a chance to effectively fight the disease, enjoy life, and celebrate every moment spent with my daughters. At the moment, I am fighting for our common happiness, because I believe that in some time the cancer will become just a hazy memory, and I will exchange the memory of it for new, carefree moments, free from stress, pain and fear.
