February 2024 update

I have undergone surgery for cancer recurrence in the same leg. The muscle attachments of the quadriceps muscles were cut off. I also lost feeling in my knee and inner thigh. I have to undergo daily rehabilitation under the supervision of specialists, which requires huge financial outlays. I am unable to cope with them.

April 2023 update.

In recent weeks, Zosia was diagnosed for recurrence in soft tissues. Unfortunately, the results were confirmed.
Zosia faces another challenge and another cycle of chemotherapy. Zosia continues to fight bravely for her health and her dreams.

October 2022 update.

Due to dislocation of the hip joint endoprosthesis, 26/09/22 Zosia underwent reoperation. Once again, we start rehabilitation from the beginning. The cost of one hour of rehabilitation is PLN 180. For Zosia to regain full fitness, your help in the form of financial support for rehabilitation will be invaluable.

Update of August 29, 2022.

Zosia is going through a particularly difficult time associated with many new challenges and huge expenses. She recently underwent a biopsy of the right femur and is currently waiting for the histopathological test result, which may decide on further treatment. Currently, daily and comprehensive rehabilitation is particularly important and necessary, with a one-time cost of PLN 180. Despite numerous adversities, Zosia is starting a new school year - due to her treatment, she will attend classes remotely.

Update of February 28, 2022.

Zosia fights bravely, although the disease persists. Zosia qualified for surgery only on February 16, after receiving second-line chemotherapy. The final effect seemed to be successful, but histopathological examination showed that the chemotherapy did not bring the expected results. A new alternative in treatment may be genetic testing, on the basis of which further treatment steps will be selected. Zosia is a warrior, but she needs our protection in this difficult and costly fight.

Unfortunately we don't have good information. Despite chemotherapy, there was progression - instead of shrinking, the tumor grew. Therefore, the planned surgery did not take place. For now, Zosia's chemistry has been changed, further tests will allow us to assess its results. The blood results are currently too low, this is the result of the body being overloaded with chemotherapy. Zosia is weak, she needs to regenerate.

Due to the progression of the disease, we are increasing the financial goal of the collection. Unfortunately, expenses will continue to increase.

DREAM:

My name is Zosia. This year (2021) I was diagnosed malignant tumor – osteosarcoma. In September, while my friends returned to school after the holidays, I was admitted to the oncology ward and started treatment.

I am currently undergoing chemotherapy. It's hard for me, the side effects are very severe for me. I know this is just the beginning and there is still a long road ahead of me. I will probably have surgery, and after that I will need rehabilitation.

I was always active - I swam, danced, skied. The current situation - when I am weakened and cannot do what I used to do - is difficult for me to bear. What I have left is a passion for the game of bridge and history.

On behalf of Zosia and her mother, we are asking for financial support - medicines and travel to treatment are already large expenses, which will surely increase over time.
