Two weeks ago, Dad started chemotherapy and radiotherapy at a clinic in Gliwice. He has a total of six weeks of treatment ahead of him. Although we try to support him as best we can – providing vitamins, supplements, natural juices, protein and nutridrinks – and he really likes the hospital food, unfortunately he has started to lose weight. Given his slim build, this worries us.
Fortunately, we have a wonderful doctor who not only takes great care of my dad, but also motivates him to do mental training and reassures him that his blood results are very good so far and that losing weight is not a serious problem yet.
Dad is tolerating hospitalization well – he doesn’t complain about food or boredom (maybe only about the breaks between meals being too short). What saddens him most is the fact that he will spend his birthday (this Saturday) and Easter away from home. However, he understands that the most important thing now is health.
We are preparing a birthday surprise for him to distract him from thoughts of his illness at least for a moment and bring him some joy.

Dream:
In January of this year, during neurological examinations, I was diagnosed with a large brain tumor. I underwent emergency surgery. However, it could not be completely removed because it had invaded the brain structures. The examination showed that it was it's a grade IV glioma, the highest degree of maliciousness.
A hematoma formed where the tumor was, which was life-threatening, so the next day I was operated on again. I had a lot of hope and determination to quickly return to health and full strength, but another complication appeared in the form of a bacterial infection. For the next 2.5 weeks I received intravenous antibiotics to get rid of it from my body. After returning home, I still have to continue antibiotic therapy. I am slowly regaining my strength.
I have a difficult oncological treatment ahead of me. In order to prepare for it as best as possible, my family is enriching my diet with medical high-protein food. I have always been slim, but after the surgery my weight dropped even more. I do not intend to give up the fight to get back to health, because we have our daughter's wedding ahead of us. It took me many years to renovate our house and work in the garden - I would like to finally be able to enjoy their effects.
