It's been a dozen or so months since the diagnosis... A dozen or so difficult months filled with pain, fear and uncertainty about tomorrow. I'm still fighting and I'm not giving up. I use all possible and available means to be with my children and husband as long as possible.
We hoped that this year would start better… Unfortunately, the constant pain in my spine forced me to have an MRI. The cancer that has spread throughout my body has led to the fact that I have to undergo a risky and serious operation. This is not only a huge challenge, but also additional costs, because the operation will take place 600 km from home. Add to this the costs of equipment, rehabilitation, accommodation… All of this has a huge price.
But the biggest price I pay is the fear for my children. How will they cope when I'm gone? That thought hurts the most, like every mother who loves her children above all else.
At the beginning of my illness, I promised my family that I would fight until the very end. I hope that I can postpone this end as far as possible. My children need me, and I want to be with them. I would dream of nothing else.

Dream:
My wife found out about the disease during routine check-ups. The blood count showed abnormalities in the liver, the next day we scheduled an ultrasound - a tumor measuring 10cmx9.
Two days later we received the diagnosis: Primary cancer of the intrahepatic bile ducts with metastases to the bones and lymph nodes.
Sandra is currently undergoing her third chemotherapy treatment, which she doesn't tolerate very well...
We are collecting to help with treatment. We are looking for different options, all of them are very expensive. Zoledronic acid, proton irradiation (available only abroad), nano knife if necessary... Plus fuel, accommodation, supplements, specialized nutrition, consultations and visits to specialists...
We are undergoing treatment 600 km from where we live (Wałbrzych-Gdańsk), because this is the only place where my wife's treatment was undertaken.
If this fails, we are left with translating the documents and trying treatment abroad - costs that are insurmountable.
