Update of 8/10/2020 

The situation is stable. Patrycja is undergoing rehabilitation under the National Health Fund, but it is not enough for her condition to improve. Consultation with a specialist is necessary, as well as additional rehabilitation - both physical and psychological. The family's financial situation is difficult, so we are asking for any support.

DREAM:

Patrycja was born as a healthy, cheerful girl. Unexpectedly, at the age of 3.5 years, morning vomiting and lack of balance appeared. Diagnosis – medulloblastoma (a brain tumor – medulloblastoma). Patrycja underwent surgery, after which she became almost like a newborn again. Food was delivered through a feeding tube. We had to support her head and go back to diapering. She also stopped talking. After about 3 days, she underwent another procedure - installation of a ventriculoperitoneal shunt - due to hydrocephalus. Then chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Along the way, the valve was revised several times. Thanks to the treatment, she managed to overcome cancer, but its effects will remain with Patrycja for the rest of her life. According to doctors, Patrycja was not eligible for rehabilitation during her treatment. Her mother – young and terrified – was left to deal with it all alone.
Now Patrycja is 19 years old. He likes to do puzzles, ride a bike, go on trips, pick mushrooms, play and learn online, and swim. He has good contact with small children and is happy to take care of them. With the help of a good teacher, she enjoys learning. He wants contact with his peers, but he has it sporadically - he goes to school where there are few children and teenagers, and most of them are deaf. She is a very stubborn person, when she puts her mind to something, she has to do it, very nice, helpful and ambitious.
Because of short stature, Patrycja is 140 cm tall. She took growth hormone, which had no effect. Plus it has high-pitched hearing loss and poor posture.
Her mother tries her best to provide her with a decent life whenever possible. However, the expenses are very high. Basic the cost of rehabilitation is PLN 990 for 10 treatments, and regularity is essential. Therefore, any support will be extremely valuable to Patrycja.
