In April 2023, our world collapsed. Our beloved son's severe back pain turned out to be a symptom of a serious illness - spinal cord tumor. After partial removal of the tumor and intensive rehabilitation, we regained hope that the worst was behind us. Unfortunately, just three weeks after the surgery, Ostap he lost the ability to walk and speak. Urgent tests revealed metastases – in the cerebellum and frontal lobe. 

For two years, Ostap was treated with chemotherapy at the University Children's Hospital in Krakow. A shunt was placed, which helped reduce the symptoms of hydrocephalus. The treatment seemed to be effective. However, in April 2024, the disease struck again. Attacks appeared: paresis of the arms and legs, aphasia, loss of contact with the environment. Initially, epileptic seizures were suspected, then a malfunction of the shunt. Final diagnosis: progression of changes in the brain. Ostap urgently needs a biopsy and implementation of second-line treatment according to a new protocol.

The costs of specialist consultations, long hospital stays and searching for effective methods of therapy exceed our financial capabilities. Therefore, we ask with all our hearts – help us save Ostap. Ostap is a brave warrior. He repeats that when he defeats his greatest enemy – cancer – he will become a soldier and will bravely fight for peace and prosperity of Ukraine and Poland.
