Oskar Chmielewski
The biggest problem is the isolation associated with having to stay at home. I would like to get better so I can just see my friends and enjoy everyday life.

Dream:
The struggle with the disease began inconspicuously. 3-4 years ago Oskar developed a wart and we immediately went to a dermatologist. It was supposed to be an easy, quick, uncomplicated procedure - freezing the wart was supposed to end the whole problem. To our surprise, the skin lesion returned and surgery (curettage) had to be undertaken. After the third intervention, the specimen was submitted for histopathological examination. The diagnosis knocked us off our feet - that was it sarcoma.
On August 25, Oskar was sent to the ward, and chemotherapy was administered at the same time, unfortunately without any significant effects. Due to the significant weakening of the body, it was necessary to discontinue this treatment. The next step was the surgery, which took place on November 2. Afterwards, the decision was made to undergo radiotherapy from December 12. We are currently waiting for the histopathological result.
Oskar bravely endured all the difficulties associated with the operation - he does not even complain about the side effects resulting from it. He has lost feeling in his hands and it is difficult for him to hold even a glass. Oskar's biggest problem is not pain or discomfort, but the isolation associated with having to stay at home. He is suffering from isolation from people and would like to return to social activities, friends and life outside the four walls of his room as soon as possible.
It's not easy, but somehow we manage. We got used to a certain routine related to Oskar's treatment - to tests on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, to commuting, to constant uncertainty. All this is necessary to finally see him healthy and full of strength. However, for this we need outside help. My husband had to give up his job, we have not yet been granted benefits, and unfortunately the financial forecasts are not optimistic, so we decided to collect money. We cover the costs of commuting, purchasing medicines, supplements and an appropriate diet.
We hope that all this effort and the numerous tests Oskar is subjected to will lead us to a happy ending. We just want him to get his life back, to be able to see his friends and enjoy everyday life.
