Dream:
My life was going smoothly and there was no indication that at some point everything would collapse.
However, in 2017, when I was 49, I was diagnosed with: ovarian cancer (BRCA 1 mutation) z
metastases to the lungs, peritoneum and liver. I was predicted to live for 2 years. The beginnings were incredibly difficult and painful. My only son was in his first year of college. I didn't know how to tell him about my terrifying diagnosis. My health was deteriorating day by day, both mentally and physically.
I underwent the first serious surgery in Kielce: removal of the ovaries, fallopian tubes and greater omentum. Two
weeks after surgery I started chemotherapy. I lost my hair and felt bad, but I thought it was worth it because after 6 courses the disease stopped. I felt great relief, I thought I was healthy, but the joy turned out to be short-lived, because after 3 months new metastases appeared, mainly in the liver.
Another operation took place this time in Lublin, thermal ablation of liver tumors was performed, during which it turned out that there was another large tumor on the diaphragm. It was already very bad... Then there was a series of chemotherapy, radiotherapy and so on to this day, and the disease still does not go away.
In December 2023, I completed 8 red chemistry courses, but there was no expected result. Currently, from January 2024, I have 1-day chemotherapy treatments, which I take every week, and this is the third time I have lost my hair.
I dream of at least 3-4 years of peace, rest from these chemicals... and then I can go back to treatment.'
Sometimes I am terrified and lose hope because the treatment does not bring long-term results and it is becoming more and more difficult for me to bear it all because of the uncertain future. What I do know is that I want to live and continue fighting at all costs. However, apart from perseverance and motivation, I need financial support. After each
chemotherapy, I have to take specialized medications and supplements that help strengthen the body before the next round of chemotherapy.
The costs of non-reimbursed treatment significantly exceed my financial capabilities, so your support will be my salvation and an invaluable gift as valuable as life is...
I will be grateful for any gesture of help.
Thank you with all my heart.
