Two years ago our lives changed dramatically. Our son got sick - after full diagnostics, he was diagnosed with the disease brain tumor in the third ventricle. The tumor with the highest degree of malignancy is IV teratoma - it is a germ cell tumor composed of 3 different tumors. Therefore, Mikołaj has had a valve inserted to drain cerebrospinal fluid. As a result of the treatment, he suffered a stroke and therefore also suffers from right-sided paresis and aphasia. From the beginning, Mikołaj's illness was associated with a series of difficult decisions and many days spent in the hospital - he underwent a series of oncological treatments: chemotherapy, tumor removal surgery and radiotherapy. Complications occurred during maintenance chemotherapy and disqualified my son from further treatment.

After the first cycle of therapy, complications occurred in the form of renal failure, endocrine disorders and electrolyte-ion disturbances.

In October, Mikuś should go on a rehabilitation stay, but the price is constantly increasing and we are unable to pay for it ourselves. For this reason, we decided to start this collection, because we believe that thanks to this we will be able to cover the total rehabilitation costs.
