My history
Dream:
My name is Maria Kobashchuk and I am a person with very health problems. I have been suffering from insulin-dependent type 2 diabetes since 1999, and in October 2020 I was diagnosed with lung cancer.
After the outbreak of the war, I came to Szczecin, where I currently live.
Every month I go to Poznań two or three times for experimental therapy. I pay for the tickets myself, even though my only income is the pension I receive from Ukraine. Converted into Polish zlotys, this benefit amounts to less than PLN 300. Therefore, every month I struggle with huge financial problems and face a difficult choice - whether to buy medicines or pay for travel to clinical trials. I am a very cheerful person, I try to help others and I am grateful for all the forms of support I receive. I am fighting for my life and I believe that the war will end and I will hug my seven grandchildren who stayed in Ukraine again.
To make this dream come true, I need support in financing treatment and travel to get there. I will be very grateful for any help given to me.
