My husband's name is Kazimierz, he is 61 years old and until recently he led a quiet life. He was always fit, never sick, and ate healthily. He worked as an IT specialist. One day, during our son's concert, Kazimierz simply fell down and lost consciousness. We did not expect that he would soon receive such a devastating diagnosis: glioma. The disease changed the life of our entire family. It appeared suddenly and became a verdict.

My husband stopped walking and requires constant care and rehabilitation. He underwent five surgeries because it recurred. He was subjected to radio- and chemotherapy, which he still continues. He is also undergoing neurological rehabilitation because he has problems with swallowing and speech. I am still a working person, so the assistance of a guardian is necessary. Unfortunately, additional complications also appeared during the treatment - epileptic seizures lasting several days and allergies to steroids, which require additional, numerous hospital stays and subsequent medications. My husband still struggles with epilepsy.

Further treatment depends on the progress of the disease - on whether the paralysis subsides and the husband will be able to get up and walk on his own. This requires intensive rehabilitation - also private. When my husband gets back on his feet, he will be able to benefit from innovative glioma treatment. The cost of these therapies reaches 200,000. zlotys. We don't have many treatment options due to the specific nature of the tumor, but there is hope and it motivates us to fight.

I would like my husband to be able to recover and return to his passion, which is music. Kazimierz played many instruments. We want him to be able to watch his beloved grandchildren grow up. We want him to be able to enjoy life and his family again.
