Karolina, a 37-year-old mother of two children – 2-year-old Blania and 6-year-old Mateusz, is a wonderful wife, a beloved sister and daughter, as well as a perfect housewife. At the end of April, Karolina was diagnosed a brain tumor that turned out to be a grade IV glioblastoma multiforme. Despite three surgeries, radiotherapy, chemotherapy and additional chemotherapy, the treatment does not bring the expected results, and the tumor is growing at an alarming rate.

Standard, reimbursed treatments no longer offer any other options except another, extremely risky surgery that can end tragically. The only hope is the innovative Optune therapy, which may help if Karolina is still in good enough condition for doctors to perform it. Unfortunately, the cost of Optune therapy is about 120,000 PLN per month, and the recommendations for Karolina include using the device for at least 2 years. These are huge costs, but at the same time the price of her life.

Despite vision and hearing problems, dizziness and headaches, Karolina is holding on bravely. She has someone to fight for! Unfortunately, glioma is an extremely aggressive cancer that can at any moment deprive children of their beloved mother, and us – of our sisters, daughters and wives.
