On Friday, January 5, Mom began to feel paralysis on the left side of her body. It became clear that urgent hospitalization and diagnostics were necessary. Thanks to quick neurosurgical intervention and removal of the lesion, which turned out to be a cancer metastasis, as well as systematic and persistent rehabilitation, Mom slowly began to recover.

We had to wait seven weeks for an accurate diagnosis. At that time, Mom was struggling to stay physically fit. 

It turned out to be the cause lung cancer with metastases, stage IV, unfortunately, without the possibility of targeted therapy.

At the end of May, Mom received her first chemotherapy, which had a significant impact on her physical and mental health. After the second chemotherapy, she decided to undergo additional non-reimbursed therapy that strengthens her body, which helps her fight side effects, giving her strength and determination to fight.

Our mother is very brave, but she sees the impact of the disease on the entire family. Her dream is to be able to work as long as possible in the profession she loves. He wants to stay in the best shape possible for himself, his children and grandchildren.

Current treatment includes chemotherapy every three weeks and supportive therapy 1-2 times a week, which requires commuting from home near Warsaw to the center in Ursynów. My mother would like to be able to continue rehabilitation exercises regularly under the supervision of a specialist.

We believe that with your help we will be able to provide Mom with the best possible conditions and help her to continue with dignity through the most demanding stage of her life.
