This year, Jarek suffered from Covid-19. He spent 2 months in the hospital because he also developed cardiac problems. Therefore, he also had a longer break in rehabilitation. He is now at home and resuming rehabilitation. An EEG test is planned, which may show something more about the possibility of regaining the ability to communicate.

In March, Jarek fought pneumonia and sepsis, but we are happy to report that the situation is now back to normal.

Daily rehabilitation is a huge expense for the family. Its cost is up to PLN 2,000 per month. In this case, systematicity is the key. Thanks to regular exercise, Jarek's condition is good.

Jarek is at home, under the best possible care. His condition is stable.

DREAM:

Jarek's dream is to wish his daughter Maja a happy birthday using... eyeballs (using Cyber-Eye).

Jarek's health problems began in 2015, when he was diagnosed Burkitt's lymphoma. Jarek underwent severe treatment, which ended successfully.
Unfortunately, half a year later it happened exacerbation of the disease – Jarek got a high fever, it passed meningitis. Despite treatment, his condition was deteriorating. Appeared serious neurological complications – in December 2015, Jarek stopped eating and walking, doctors were unable to diagnose the cause of Jarek's deteriorating health or stop the progression of the disease. Jarek was sent from hospital to hospital due to the subsequent problems he experienced. Latest diagnosis: generalized brain atrophy. Jarek was discharged from the hospital and referred to... Care and Treatment Facility in Wiązowna.

Currently, the patient is at home, but he is still paralyzed and has limited contact. What gives us hope, however, is the fact that Jarek responds to more and more stimuli. Tests are underway to assess whether Jarek will be able to communicate with his family using eye movements. The homely atmosphere clearly helps to improve Jarek's condition. Unfortunately, this involves huge costs - nursing care, rehabilitation and medicines.

The whole family's dream is to communicate with Jarek. With the help of Cyber-Ok, it is possible that Jarek will be able to wish his daughter a happy birthday soon!
