Ilkin Aliyev

In early 2026, I was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma. Since March, I have been undergoing intensive chemotherapy, which is my chance for recovery. Unfortunately, I lost my job due to the disease, and the costs of treatment are beyond my means.

My history

Dream:

At the beginning of 2026 I heard the diagnosis, Hodgkin's lymphoma, type II A nodular sclerosis. It all started on February 1, 2026, with enlarged lymph nodes. After a series of tests and a biopsy, the diagnosis was confirmed.

I began treatment on March 3, 2026. Since then, I have been receiving successive cycles of chemotherapy according to the international ABVD protocol, an intensive therapy involving four powerful cytostatic drugs. This is a very demanding treatment that puts a strain on the body., but I know it's my chance for recovery. I try to endure it as best I can, despite the numerous side effects that are inevitable with such aggressive therapy.

I have further treatment cycles ahead of me. It's crucial not to interrupt the therapy and maintain its continuity; this gives me the best chance of achieving full remission. After completing chemotherapy, doctors will decide on possible radiotherapy or further treatment based on the results of follow-up scans (PET-CT).

Unfortunately, my financial situation has deteriorated dramatically. Due to the illness and the devastating treatment, I lost my job and was left without a stable source of income. The costs of treatment are enormous; I have to cover all chemotherapy medications myself. There are also additional costs for protective medications (antiemetics, blood tests), regular tests, diagnostics, and a specialized diet. Without support, I cannot continue treatment.

Despite everything, I haven't lost hope. Hodgkin's lymphoma is a curable disease. My greatest motivation is to return to health and a normal life, to work, to everyday life, and to feel safe. I dream of simple things: to be healthy and independent again, and to leave this difficult time behind.

That is why I am appealing to asking for help. Every bit of support brings me closer to completing my treatment and getting my life back.
