A year and a half ago I found out I had cancer - pleural mesothelioma (MPM). I underwent treatment in Berlin and also received treatment in Warsaw. Unfortunately, at this point I have exhausted my treatment options in both Germany and Poland. A chance is therapy in Israel, the costs of which are enormous. I'm asking for your support!

My history
Collection for:
treatment in a clinic in Israel
Dream:
I was diagnosed on February 1, 2023. My cancer is pleural mesothelioma (MPM). The diagnosis was made accidentally - after a breast ultrasound, I was sent for a lung x-ray. After thorough tests, two independent biopsies and doctors' disbelief that this type of cancer could be diagnosed in a person my age (29 at the time). Unfortunately, the diagnosis was confirmed by 3 different pathologists in three different medical centers: two in Berlin and one in Gdańsk.
My treatment took place in Germany at the Charite Hospital in Berlin and started in March 2023 with 3 immunotherapy infusions (Nivulomab and Ipilimumab). The therapy was interrupted when it turned out that the tumor had grown significantly and I was losing strength. Doctors decided to combine Radiotherapy 10 cycles with chemotherapy every 3 weeks (Cisplatin with Gemcitabine at the beginning) and then Hematrexed. At the same time, I started complementary treatment in Warsaw. For about half a year, periodic tests showed improvement in my health, the tumor was shrinking, and I felt better and better.
My condition began to deteriorate last fall. My immunity weakened and I started catching infections. Since December, I have been on steroids, which, combined with chemotherapy, completely destroyed my immune system. 2024 began with a hospital stay caused by severe shingles. Another CT scan did not bring good news - the tumor began to enlarge. Despite continued treatment with chemotherapy and supplements, as well as support with complementary medicine, the tumor turned out to be resistant and metastasized to the peritoneal cavity. Doctors in Germany decided to discontinue chemotherapy treatment and offered palliative care.
Due to the exhaustion of treatment options in Germany, I started looking for treatment around the world. Thanks to the Rakiety Foundation, I contacted the EMAS-med Foundation, which helps patients with severe cancer cases get treatment in Israel.
I was offered therapy with two drugs: Keytruda and Lenvima at a clinic in Jerusalem. Treatment costs are over PLN 60,000 for one-time administration of medications and medical care in the clinic. My treatment is planned to take subsequent doses every 3 weeks. Additionally, the costs of treatment include flights, local transport, accommodation and meals. It generates cost approx. PLN 90,000 for one trip.
My dream is to recover and move to the countryside, where I will live among animals and nature, creating art, which I do not have the strength for now. I am a fabric designer by education and passion. I am asking you for support in making these dreams come true.
Thank you
