My mother, Ewelina is struggling with glioblastoma multiforme, is an extremely aggressive brain tumor. It progresses very quickly, takes away everyday life, memory, efficiency, and independence. My mother is an inspiration to me in every way. She is an incredibly strong and independent woman, she raised me as herself. I do not know a more warm, positive and health-conscious woman. She showed me the love of sports, science and has always been a huge support for me in every aspect of my life. She is my only friend.
The diagnosis came to us suddenly. It started with an epileptic seizure and hospital stay, every day the news was getting worse and our lives changed dramatically from day to day. Finally, on 12.05.2025 we received the result – glioblastoma, inoperable.
Currently, Mom is undergoing radiotherapy and chemotherapy, but she needs specialist treatment. The only therapy that will be able to prolong her life. tp OPTUNE device therapy, which works by emitting low-intensity electric fields that slow down the division of cancer cells, inhibiting such intensive tumor growth. The cost of such therapy is 120 thousand zlotys per monthThis is a huge amount – impossible for us to bear, which is why we are asking you for help.
This device will help her maintain her fitness and daily life for as long as possible. Mom helps others all her life, she is an incredible support for everyone, she always rises to the occasion and is full of ideas. Every day I see how much she takes care of herself, develops, learns and seeks new interests and fulfills her dreams. Together we love to travel, run – we are inseparable.
I deeply believe that thanks to you – my dears, my Mom will be with me as long as possible. She is my most beloved person, my rock, my support and safety.
