Ewa Duda
I suffered from stage 3 sigmoid cancer with metastases to the liver. In Poland they didn't want to perform the surgery, but I have such a chance in France. Your help will open the door to complete recovery for me.

My history
Dream:
My name is Ewa and I am 53 years old. Learning that you have cancer is always a shock. I think usually the body lets us know that something is wrong, but we don't have the time or courage to check it out. I tested for tumor markers "accidentally". From that moment everything changed. It turned out that I had contracted the disease sigmoid colon cancer with liver metastases, stage three.
I have been fighting cancer for almost two years. I've had several surgeries. I am currently on another chemotherapy regimen, which I take every 2 weeks. It's very hard for me - I can't work or function normally. I have a long road ahead of me, with no end in sight. I found hope in a center in France that had already operated on my liver once (no one in Poland wanted to do it). Unfortunately, due to complications, I did not return in time for chemotherapy in Poland and the cancer returned.
Today, France gives me hope again - another surgery is possible. The cost ranges between 15,000 and 50,000 euros. This is a very large amount. I am not sure whether our Polish National Health Fund will be able to finance it. I already bear high costs of unreimbursed therapies and medicines.
Cancer took a lot from me, but it also gave me - above all, the knowledge that I am not alone. I have a wonderful family and friends, a great dog, and a lot of peace within me. I am happy, but after years of supporting others, I need support myself. I will be grateful for every payment, even the smallest one, every 1.5% of tax. Your help will open the door to complete recovery for me. I want to believe it's possible.
Thank you.
