Ela has been struggling with this since birth. achondroplasia, which was associated with many painful surgeriesHer life is further complicated by serious illnesses: epilepsy, adrenal insufficiency, hypothyroidism, spinal nerve disease, chronic nephritis, nephrolithiasis and neurogenic bladderA few years ago, there was also malignant kidney tumor – despite the surgery performed, the cancer quickly spread to the bones.
Last year it was necessary to implant a valve in the headThe treatment resulted in complications in the form of a hematoma, which required trepanation of the skullAlthough the hematoma was removed, serious side effects remained. Ela now experiences frequent epileptic seizures leading to loss of consciousness, vision problems and difficulty moving.
Multiple injections and blood collections led to massive thrombosis in the chest, which prevents insertion of the catheter needed for treatment and testing. Treatment in a specialized center that can treat thrombosis and establish vascular access in such difficult conditions is essential.
Further treatment involves huge costs: tests and consultations, travel to hospitals, supportive therapies, dietary supplements and tests for the presence of cancer stem cells.
