After years of struggle, research is beginning to present more and more optimistic predictions about the effects of Eli's treatment. The joy of the significant improvement in her health was doubled by the birth of her grandson, Adaś. Ela also returned to her work and passion - treating patients.

Update of May 7, 2020

Restrictions related to the coronavirus mean that Ela cannot leave the house - it is difficult for such an active woman. Unfortunately, with reduced immunity caused by treatment, there is no other option. Currently, Ela is in hospital undergoing further chemotherapy.

Update from January 30, 2020

Update of 14/11/2019

Thanks to the current treatment, the tumor shrank and surgery was possible, which was successful. For now, Ela is waiting for the doctors' decision on further steps.

Update of 12/08/2019

Elżbieta continues her treatment, and so far everything is going well. She is undergoing consultations with doctors regarding reconstruction after surgery.

DREAM:

I am a mother of three children, a wife and a doctor. All my life I sacrificed myself for others. For years, after exhausting work in hospitals and clinics, I took off my doctor's coat and turned into a loving mother. When my youngest child left home and started to become independent, I thought I would finally have some time for myself and my husband. I dreamed that I would soon become a grandmother.

The diagnosis came by surprise. During a routine examination, I heard "malignant tumor". My diagnosis is stage G2 breast cancer requiring urgent oncological treatment. Despite the malignancy of the disease, modern methods of therapy are effective good chance of recovery. Unfortunately, this type of treatment is not reimbursed by the National Health Fund and its cost is almost... 100 thousand zlotys.

Due to the rapid progression of the disease, we need to find this money now. Fast, targeted therapy will enable me to recover, maintain fitness and fulfill my dream of being a caring grandmother.
