Dream:

My name is Eliza, I am 37 years old and I recently heard a dramatic diagnosis – stomach cancer stage IV with metastases. Coming to terms with this reality is particularly difficult for me, because I have a wonderful 7-year-old son who needs me. It is for him that I decided to fight to the end and turn to you for help.

My story began in June 2024, when I started having severe, unremitting stomach pain. I went through a long diagnostic process – from visits to internists, through ultrasounds and gastroscopies. I finally found a doctor who diagnosed cancer: Lauren's diffuse mucocellular carcinoma. This is a rare, aggressive type of cancer that is more difficult to treat and often associated with a poorer prognosis.

A CT scan and PET scan confirmed the presence of metastases, and a laparoscopic exploratory scan ruled out the possibility of surgery – the cancer had already invaded the peritoneum and ovaries. Hearing those words was like a blow. There is no way to describe the feeling. How can you prepare for the news that your journey through life may end sooner than you could have imagined?

The worst thought was about my son. What will he feel if I'm gone? How will he cope? That thought is with me every day and gives me the strength to keep fighting.

But there is hope!
After four cycles of chemotherapy and immunotherapy, a small miracle happened – the cancerous changes began to regress. This is a huge boost of motivation and faith that effective treatment is possible. I am currently on my sixth cycle of therapy. The treatment regimen is intensive:

  • On my first day in the hospital I receive infusions of chemotherapy and immunotherapy,
  • Then for the next 14 days I take chemotherapy in tablet form.
These are the hardest two weeks. My body is completely destroyed then, and I have to fight helplessness, pain and side effects that are impossible to imagine. Only the third week allows me to function almost normally.

Each cycle requires a great deal of strength from me to regenerate. Unfortunately, therapy is expensive, and ZUS refused to grant me rehabilitation benefits, arguing that "I am not completely incapable of working." I am currently applying for a disability pension, but this will significantly reduce my treatment budget.

That's why I need to ask for help from everyone who can support me. I push my limits because I fight for my son. I want to be with him as long as possible and give him a childhood full of love and safety. Sometimes I ask myself, "Could I have done something more, faster, better?" This question will always resonate with me, but now I know that the most important thing is to look forward and believe in a positive ending to this story.

The funds I collect will be used for:

  • specialized supplementation,
  • rehabilitation,
  • further supportive therapy,
  • methods supporting the regeneration of the body (hyperbaric and normobaric chambers, vitamin infusions, ozone therapy),
  • dedicated diet,
  • consultations with the best specialists,
  • and if the possibility of treatment abroad arises – also for the trip.

Every contribution, even the smallest, means a lot. If you can't help financially, please share my story. It doesn't cost anything and can help me find people with big hearts who will decide to support me.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your help. I believe that together we can work wonders!
