The disease appeared unexpectedly when I was 18 years old, in November 2007. It all started with an eye pain that unfortunately didn't go away. After a CT scan and a biopsy, it turned out that I was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma. According to research and statistics, this is a cancer that usually has a good prognosis and responds well to treatment, but not in my case.

I started a cycle of chemotherapy with the hope of a successful cure, but a year after the treatment ended, it turned out that the disease had relapsed, and Since then, I have been continuously fighting the disease for 17 years. I have undergone numerous lines of treatment, including bone marrow transplantation, radiation, and immunotherapy treatment in recent years. Unfortunately, despite many years of long and devastating treatment, the disease is still active.

Every chemotherapy has side effects, both physical and psychological, which affect the quality of life. I struggle with, among other things, lymphedema in my leg after treatment. In the case of cancer, it is very important to build strong immunity, which will help the body in the further fight. Unfortunately, supportive therapies are not reimbursed.

During my many years of treatment, I tried to cover the costs associated with the disease and treatment myself. Private visits, tests, travel, therapies, supplements and rehabilitation are costs that generate huge expenses, so I am very grateful for any support.

A dream? This is a difficult topic when you have been struggling with a serious illness for many years. It is hard to look to the future with confidence, but I hope that I will be healthy and that a miracle will happen on this path.
