My name is Martyna and I am writing to you on behalf of the entire family with great hope and a request for help for our beloved mother, wife, grandmother, mother-in-law, sister – Danuta, who is fighting against an exceptionally insidious opponent – Serous ovarian cancer, clinically advanced at FIGO stage III C.

In October 2024, on my birthday, we found out that mom had ascites and tumor of unknown origin. The diagnosis was a shock to us. Mom is a strong, warm and kind woman who always helped others. She never argued with anyone, she always supported everyone and cared for everyone. She never passed by indifferently to human suffering. Now she herself needs help to have a chance at life.

After a series of tests and consultations, the doctors confirmed the worst: advanced stage of malignant tumor. Mom has already been exploratory surgery, after which nothing could be removed due to the threat to health and life.

We traveled all over Poland just to find a doctor who could help her. Finally, we found a doctor who extended a helping hand to us, who got my mother back on her feet, because she was already bedridden. The next stage of treatment was chemotherapy, which helped, but also harmed. Unfortunately, after chemotherapy, my mother experienced side effects, including fatigue, hair loss - she loved her hair so much, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, decreased immunity, anemia, mouth ulcers, changes in taste, problems with walking and peripheral neuropathy - numbness, tingling, pain and even muscle weakness in her hands and feet.

Cancer was taking away my mother's weight one kilogram at a time. she already weighed 41kg, she had extreme malnutrition, that's why we decided to set up parenteral nutrition. Thanks to the food bags with vitamins, minerals and amino acids, after a few months, my mother stopped losing weight and finally the weight stopped falling off.

Treatment must be continued and supplemented with expensive therapies and non-reimbursable drugs. Unfortunately, the cost of treatment far exceeds our financial capabilities..

Every share of this collection can work wonders. We believe that together we can give mom a chance to live on, to smile, to spend more time with her family. We as a family are able to do everything to save her. For us, every złoty means progress, means that the cancer will recede.
