Hello, my name is Ola. Three months ago, one of my biggest dreams came true: the man I love - Bogusz - proposed to me. It seemed as if the world was open to us. Unfortunately, a moment later it turned out that these were only moments of joy before the next test that fate puts before us. On the way back from vacation, Bogusz felt sudden numbness on the left side of his body and began to speak very slurred. Fortunately, the neurosurgeon under Bogusz's care answered the phone, recognized the symptoms of an epileptic attack and recommended immediate administration of an additional dose of antiepileptic drug. Thanks to this, we managed to stop the focal epilepsy attack and get to the hospital in Wrocław. The tomograph clearly showed a renewed tumor mass in the right frontal lobe, exactly in the same place that was operated on two years ago. Our world has collapsed again...

History has come full circle. In 2021, the scenario was identical - epilepsy attack, CT scan (nodular mass measuring 4.4cm x 3.8cm x 3.5cm), diagnosis - grade 2 glioma, surgery. In May 2021, the tumor was removed, and Bogusz was back on his feet relatively quickly. He started a new job, which brought him a lot of satisfaction. Importantly, since September 2021, Bogusz has been under the constant care of the National Institute of Oncology in Gliwice. Thanks to this, we checked the changes in the right frontal lobe visible on the MRI image every quarter. Unfortunately, within 3 months, it became visible in the post-operative bed tumor recurrence measuring 3.7cm x 4.4cm x 2.9cm.

At first we couldn't believe it. How is it possible that it grew so quickly? Due to the rapid progression, within a week of the attack, surgery was performed at the Military Clinical Hospital and Polyclinic in Bydgoszcz. The tumor was radically removed. Unfortunately, histopathological results confirmed the neurosurgeon's suspicions - the tumor had become malignant. Diagnosis - astrocytoma glioma, IDH-mutant, grade 3.

The procedure for treating tumors with a higher degree of malignancy is oncological treatment - radiotherapy combined with chemotherapy. We know that cancer should be approached comprehensively and the entire body should be treated. In addition, it is necessary to act on stem cells, because they have been transformed to a higher degree. We decided on integrated therapy, which, when combined with classical methods (chemotherapy and radiotherapy), shows higher treatment effectiveness.

Unfortunately, the monthly costs of strengthening treatments, supplements and medical consultations are beyond our reach, so I really need your help. The natural stage that follows the engagement is the wedding. We would love to be able to stand on the wedding carpet one day, healthy, and say "I do".
