Krystyna Beata Kierzek

The diagnosis was a signal for me to take action, I transformed the initial fear into motivation to change my lifestyle and psyche. Cancer leaves no time for hesitation, it calls for action here and now. I am currently waiting for a consultation and the date of starting chemotherapy. I know that cancer will only be an episode in my life, not the whole story.

My history

Updates:

Updated on November 19, 2025

For the past three years, I've lived life to the fullest. I've worked, I've created, I've enjoyed every day, and I believed the worst was behind me.
Today I am again in a difficult place, I have had surgery and I am facing another round of chemotherapy.

This is another twist in my path, but I know one thing for sure I'm not going to give up.
Despite fear, uncertainty and fatigue, I still find the strength to take at least one step forward each day.

During this difficult time, I also tried to develop professionally – I completed several training courses related to my industry so I wouldn't lose touch with what I loved. Learning gave me a sense of empowerment and reminded me that my illness wouldn't rob me of my passions or dreams.

I am fighting for my health, for the future and for normality, which I want to return to as soon as possible.
Your support, kind words and presence give me a lot of encouragement.

I believe I will regain my health. And I will do everything I can to make that happen.

Dream:

I am indestructible - that's what I thought about myself until recently.

A year ago, I went to my primary care doctor because I had stomach and back pain and felt tired. The doctor sent me for tests. When I came to him with the results, he said he didn't see any abnormalities and I was a picture of health. He suggested that maybe I just needed some rest.
I trusted that I was healthy since the doctor said there was no reason to worry.

In the fall, I decided to go to the doctor again because of the persistent pain.
I came up with the idea to go for a colonoscopy. I called, made an appointment and there was nothing else to do but wait. The result – a malignant tumor of the large intestine.
The diagnosis was a signal for me to take action, I transformed the initial fear into motivation to change my lifestyle and psyche. Cancer leaves no time for hesitation, it calls for action here and now.
I went to the hospital in Lublin and they scheduled me for surgery.
I am currently waiting for a consultation and the date of starting chemotherapy. I know that cancer will only be an episode in my life, not the whole story.

Due to the treatment, I will face large expenses that significantly exceed my savings - private visits to specialists, commuting costs, diet, rehabilitation. Therefore, I decided to ask for your support. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for every contribution!
