Barbara Pyzel
Two years ago I found out I had breast cancer. The treatment process was a challenge for me and my loved ones, but I recovered. Today I had to face a recurrence of the disease. To strengthen the body during subsequent chemotherapy, it is necessary to implement supportive treatment, which is very expensive.

Dream:
My story with cancer actually began 8 years ago, when I had a preventive breast ultrasound examination. A small change of 0.5 cm was then detected. I was sent for detailed tests, the results of which showed that there was no reason to worry, but systematic check-ups were recommended.
I repeated the test every year and each time I was informed that everything was fine. However, in 2021, the ultrasound showed a change. Then I heard that it was about 1 cm, but there were no changes in the lymph node areas. I wanted to confirm this information, so I consulted another specialist. There I found out that the lesion on the breast was similar in size, but the lymph nodes were also affected. It was bothering me, so I went to another doctor who informed me that the lesion was 7 cm in size and that the lymph nodes were also involved. Diagnosis confirmed - breast cancer. I was in shock. I felt a mixture of different emotions after weeks of trying to confirm the diagnosis. In March 2021, treatment began - first six months of chemotherapy, then surgery in September. It was a difficult time for me and my loved ones, but I was determined to fight and got through it.
This spring, during an examination, the doctor noticed a small cyst on the liver, which was not a cause for concern. Unfortunately, a month ago, the blood test results showed something different - abnormal liver function tests. I went to a doctor who quickly performed a tomography. The study confirmed my fears - they appeared liver recurrence.
At the end of August I start chemotherapy again. Taking subsequent doses of chemotherapy puts a strain on my heart and the entire body, so I have to take care of myself so that the treatment brings positive results and does not burden my body so much. It is necessary for me to take supportive treatment in parallel with chemotherapy, the cost of which is several thousand per month. The treatment I went through two years ago has already put a huge strain on our household budget, so this time I decided to ask you for support, because I am not able to cover all the non-reimbursed treatments.
I have three children, two of them are still teenagers. I want to accompany them in the next stages of life and support them, because it is my loved ones who give me strength and hope. I believe I can cope with this challenge.
I will be grateful for your support!
