I managed to raise funds to start treatment with abemaciclib. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your donations and support. At the same time, I ask for further help so that I can continue the therapy, which gives me a chance to recover.
Dream:
As is the case in many cases, the disease took me by surprise. I have not yet recovered from the death of my 35-year-old daughter (endocrine tumor of the pancreas, difficult to detect), when my younger daughter and her family were involved in a serious traffic accident. It was very bad, but miraculously they survived.
I didn't think that after such a trauma I would have to fight for my life. After all, I have already exhausted my limit for evil. However, it turned out differently.
In March 2023, I felt it lump in the right breast. I was still under the illusion that it was nothing dangerous, but after long diagnostics it turned out to be invasive cancer. I had to undergo a mastectomy and remove all the nodes in my armpit. I underwent heavy chemotherapy and then radiotherapy. It all made me very weak. Now I started hormone therapy.
Unfortunately, it turned out that this was not the end. My further treatment is unavailable to me because it is not reimbursed.
The drug that is supposed to save my life is abemaciclib.
Its cost in Poznań it is approximately PLN 6,100-6,500 per month. This amount is unattainable for me! Due to illness and exhaustion, I had to give up my additional work. I am not able to collect this amount myself, a treatment must be continued for two years.
