Anna Serafin
I am an architect, mother, and grandmother of nine grandchildren. I have advanced, metastatic pancreatic cancer, and my only hope lies in expensive, non-reimbursable supportive care. I am asking for support so I can continue treatment and remain with my family.

My history
Dream:
I'm an architect by choice and passion. My work has brought me joy and a sense of fulfillment, even in retirement. I haven't limited my activities to professional matters alone—I've also strived to advocate for the environment and create a space for spirituality. Family and grandchildren are fundamental values for me. Unfortunately, my professional life and daily routine were suddenly interrupted.
On June 11, 2025, the disease struck me like a bolt from the blue. I was preparing to travel to Warsaw for the National Congress of the Chamber of Architects when severe pain arose, forcing me to go to the emergency room. During my two-week hospital stay, a number of tests were performed. Suspecting a pancreatic tumor, I was referred to Krakow for further diagnostics. A biopsy and PET scan revealed it. Very advanced pancreatic cancer with liver metastases. The tumor is of the highest grade and is inoperable. Systemic treatment – chemotherapy offered by the National Health Fund – in my case does not offer any chance of recovery, and everything indicates that it would further weaken the already devastated body. Since the first symptoms I have lost over 20 kg. Rapidly progressing the disease also caused jaundice. I recently underwent a difficult procedure to stent a bile duct, which was successful only afterrtogether.
I decided to seek supportive oncology treatment, which offers hope of halting the progression of the disease and regaining my strength. I implemented a diet and extensive supplementation to cleanse the body and strengthen the immune system. I also recently began immunotherapy, which aims to stimulate the body's natural defense mechanisms. Treatment also includes hyperthermia and supplementation in the form of intravenous infusions.
Unfortunately, this therapy has one drawback – its the cost is nearly 100,000 PLNThis is an amount I cannot afford on my own. Therefore, I am reaching out with a huge request for your support. Every złoty is a step closer to continuing my therapy. If you can't contribute financially, please share my fundraiser.
The funds will be allocated to: non-reimbursed supportive oncological treatment, specialist supplementation and travel costs.
Daily fatigue and weakness did not deprive me of faith or hope. I want to live for my children and nine grandchildren who mean the world to me..
I wholeheartedly thank you for every form of help—for your prayers, kind words, and support. It's thanks to you that I have the strength to keep going.
