Supplements, strengthening treatments, specialized diet, visits to specialists

My name is Anna Lewandowska, I am 57 years old. I found out about my disease during a follow-up mammogram, which I had every two years. It was October 31, 2022. Previously performed ultrasound examinations showed cysts in the left breast (harmless according to the doctor). This time it was different. Mammography showed the lesion, and ultrasound confirmed the presence of the tumor. After the biopsy, I received the diagnosis: malignant breast cancer with metastases to lymph nodes. Tumor type G2(2+2+2) B5b.

On January 13, 2023, I started treatment (4 red chemotherapy every 2 weeks, then 12 white chemotherapy every week). On June 14, 2023, I underwent sparing surgery (partial removal of the tumor and eight lymph nodes). On August 22, 2023, I started radiotherapy, which ended on September 19, 2023.

I underwent the treatment with good results (during the treatment I used supportive treatment and strengthening treatments). I also used many different supplements, thanks to which I had more strength for treatment and better immunity. Genetic tests performed, due to the genetic load in the family, detected a mutation in the PALB 2 gene.

The geneticist's recommendations include ovarian removal and bilateral mastectomy. Further planned treatment includes: hormone therapy, specialized diet, supplementation and complementary treatment. I am undergoing follow-up tests regarding the presence of cancer cells. However, the proposed treatment is very expensive. I am currently on rehabilitation benefits and medical expenses are a huge burden.

The estimated cost of treatment is approximately PLN 25,000. My dream is to live without thinking about the disease, its metastases and relapses. I love life, I love people and my wonderful family: my husband, children and Kubuś, my 9-month-old grandson.
