I found out about my diagnosis during an ultrasound examination in January 2022, which was ordered for the first time by a gynecologist - then I learned that I would have to face breast cancer.

Since the beginning of the disease, I have been undergoing treatment at a hospital in Gliwice. In May 2022, I started a chemotherapy cycle that lasted over half a year. It was a really difficult time. I saw my body changing, I felt weak, and my everyday life completely changed. I also suffered a serious mental decline, the effects of which I still feel. Fighting cancer also turned out to be a challenge in the context of parenting. I have a wonderful son whom I raise alone, so I also needed support in this area, especially while undergoing chemotherapy.

After completing this stage of treatment, preparations for the surgery began. Unfortunately, the procedure was unsuccessful because it left areas with many active cancer cells remaining. For this reason, it is necessary to repeat the operation. Due to my health condition and severely weakened blood test results, the surgery was postponed seven times. I have another date scheduled and it's approaching. I hope that this time the procedure will be successful. After the surgery, I will most likely undergo radiotherapy.

I am currently undergoing hormone therapy. I take care of my nutrition and try to restore balance in my body. I incur high costs related to traveling to treatment, taking medications, eating healthy food and paying health insurance premiums in order to be covered by the reimbursed treatment path. This is beyond my financial capabilities, and I know how important each of these elements is for the treatment to be effective.

My greatest motivation to fight for myself and my health is my child. He is a talented teenager and I would like to provide him with the best possible conditions for development. I dream of returning to professional work and pursuing artistic pursuits, because it is a part of my soul that has always been alive in me. There are still so many beautiful places in the world that I would like to visit. At the moment, however, what I care most about is my health, so that I can function every day as I used to.
