Mrs. Ania still struggles with neuropathy, but she tries not to let it disturb her everyday life. She tries to stay active as much as she is able and strong. You feel good, your mood is good, and this makes any inconvenience easier to bear.
Updated on February 12, 2021
Neuropathy continues to make Ania's daily life difficult. Rehabilitation treatments can help, but unfortunately they are performed privately. The cost of massages and improving manual workshops is approximately PLN 500 for 10 treatments. We are increasing the collection amount by PLN 1,000 (treatments and travel) - this amount will allow Ania to improve the comfort of her life.
Update from April 22, 2020
Ania is feeling well, the test results have been showing for a long time that the cancer has disappeared. This is fantastic news! At the moment, the main ailment is neuropathy, which occurred as a result of oncological treatment.
Dream:
I live with my partner, we have no children. I am a happy person, although not everything in my life turned out as I would have dreamed. Most of the time I also worked as a caregiver for the elderly. A few years ago I was first diagnosed with cancer. I started treatment and managed to return to normal life. Unfortunately in 2018 new cancerous lesions appeared on the lungs. I started chemotherapy and what I had hoped I would never experience again came back - the hospital, doctors, drugs.
Now I know more than the first time. I understand the disease better, although it does not make it any easier to deal with. This time I also had the courage to ask for help. My partner and I have always lived modestly, but we had enough for our basic needs. However, it is becoming more and more difficult for us. We count every zloty spent on commuting and medicines.
In my case, it turned out to be one of the side effects of chemotherapy neuropathy. Nerve damage makes it difficult for me to move and perform manual activities. It can help me get back to fitness rehabilitation at a sanatorium.
