My history

Dream:

My name is Adrian. Until recently, my life was ordinary: work, home, plans, the laughter of my children. In July, everything stopped. A severe headache, disturbing symptoms, and urgent diagnostics were needed. Moments later, I heard a diagnosis that sounded like a death sentence., grade IV glioma, one of the most aggressive brain tumors. In one second, my world and that of my family fell apart.

I have already had two surgeries to remove the tumor and radiotherapy and chemotherapy., which, to the doctors' surprise, my body tolerated very well. I have several months of chemotherapy ahead of me. I'm fighting with all my might. Unfortunately, a small, millimeter-sized lesion ruined my chances of participating in a subsidized clinical trial. It was another blow. However, I knew I couldn't give up.

A month ago, I started my own TT Fields Optune (Tumor Treating Fields) therapy. This is a modern, internationally recognized method of treating glioma, using special electric fields that inhibit the division of cancer cells and slow down the progression of the disease. The therapy requires wearing a special device for most of the day. It offers hope for extending life and halting the progression of the disease, but its the cost is approximately PLN 120,000 per month, and starting treatment required two months' payment in advance. For the therapy to be effective, it must last at least two years, which translates to a total cost of nearly 3 million złoty. These enormous costs are impossible for my family to cover. However, these are not the only expenses. Every month, I incur travel costs to medical centers, specialized supplements, and a diet to support my body in this unequal battle. I'm doing everything possible to win, because I have so much to live for.
 
You might remember me from the show "Married at First Sight." That's where my story with Anita began. Today, we are the parents of two wonderful children, Jerzy and Bianka. I grew up without a father, and my biggest dream is to be a present father to my children. I want to watch them grow up. I want to hold my wife's hand. I want to live. I believe in medicine, in determination, and in the human heart.
 
Every support is a real chance for me to spend the next months and years with my family. This is time that cannot be converted into money.
