O breast cancer I found out on May 7th during an appointment with the oncologist, preceded by various tests, including an ultrasound, mammogram, CT scan, PET scan, and biopsy. I began treatment with chemotherapy, undergoing six cycles administered three weeks apart. It was a very difficult time. After each dose, I experienced severe side effects: chronic fatigue, nausea, dizziness, and a significant decrease in strength and performance.

Currently, chemotherapy has been replaced with targeted therapy, which I also receive every three weeks in the form of infusions. Although my body tolerates this better than the previous chemotherapy, I still struggle with significant weakness, drowsiness, and fatigue, which significantly impede my daily functioning. As recommended by my doctor, treatment will continue as long as it continues to be effective and offers a chance to reduce the cancerous lesions.

The disease is not only associated with enormous physical and mental strain, but also with mounting costs. Every month, I incur expenses related to medications, supplements, travel to hospitals, and tests. Recently, I've also been charged for gynecological visits due to changes detected on my ovaries.

Today my dreams are very simple and yet priceless I want to live. I want to be with my loved ones, accompany them in important moments, watch my children grow and my family develop. I dream of being able to enjoy the company of my grandchildren in a few or a dozen years and be part of their world. I also want to regain the strength to one day travel to Zakopane with my family and conquer mountain peaks together again.

I wholeheartedly thank you for every form of support. Every bit of help not only provides me with real relief in my daily struggle with this disease, but also gives me hope that I will have many more moments with those I love most.
