I am a very social, expressive and energetic person. Since my job involves helping others, I have always tried to do so, especially supporting the elderly.

Unfortunately, I had to stop all my activities – work, social activities, meetings with friends – because the disease made itself known, and on top of that, I had an adverse reaction to a new medication. I am struggling with pneumonia – first I was in hospital, now I am at home.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2009. I underwent full treatment – chemotherapy, surgery, radiotherapy – and for 12 years I enjoyed peace. I was almost convinced that the disease would not return. Unfortunately, in 2022 it turned out that I had metastases to the lungs. I started treatment and for over a year I could enjoy relative peace, until suddenly everything changed 180 degrees. Water in the lungs, hospital stays, surgeries, fluid removal…

In December 2024, I took a new, groundbreaking drug. After a dozen or so days, I was hospitalized in serious condition and the fight for my life began. Diagnosis: massive autoimmune pneumonia as a side effect of new chemo.

In my wildest dreams I never imagined that something like this could happen – and what consequences it would bring.

My biggest dream is to return to activity – to work, which I really like, to walks and travels, but above all to everyday life and the opportunity to watch my recently born granddaughter grow up. I want to enjoy every meeting with my loved ones. I have a wonderful family and the best friends in the world. Without them, I would not be able to face cancer.
