Ladies and Gentlemen, Dear Donors,
It's been six months since the last, eighteenth dose of chemotherapy. The PET scan showed that Julia's body is free of cancer cells. This was the most wonderful moment for us in the past twelve months. Every time we thank the wonderful doctors, nurses and all the support staff from the Institute of Mother and Child, Clinic of Oncology and Oncological Surgery for Children and Youth in Warsaw, where we continue our research.
Currently Julia is undergoing intensive rehabilitation, and the result of these efforts is the ability to walk without crutches and move more or less independently. She is happier every day, which can be seen in her smile, similar to the one before the disease. We still have a few years of check-ups ahead of us, but we believe that the cancer will never return. Now Julia wants to focus on her studies and further long-term rehabilitation.
We wholeheartedly thank you once again for your support. We wish you and your families good health and many good times.
With gratitude,

Ladies and Gentlemen, Dear Donors.
We would like to thank you for your heart, sensitivity, selfless willingness to do good, help, prayer, generosity and kindness. We would like to express our appreciation and gratitude for the help provided to all donors, family, friends, acquaintances and people who do not know us personally but for whom the willingness to help was so important. We would like to thank all the employees of the Rakiety Oncological Foundation for the organization and great help. We are touched by this support, it illustrates the noble attitude of our society. We did not expect that we would be able to collect such a large sum so quickly. Julia is very moved and thanks you all very much.
We have been living with the stress and nightmare of this disease for almost 4 months. She feels this support, and it gives her strength to fight cancer. We wanted to convey positive information that the surgery performed last week was successful. We bow our heads before the wonderful Doctors from the Institute of Mother and Child, Department of Oncology and Oncological Surgery for Children and Adolescents in Warsaw, under the supervision of Prof. IMID Ph.D. n. med. Anna Raciborska. Now Julia begins very long rehabilitation and extremely heavy chemotherapy.
Let us remember that good always returns. Thanking you once again, we wish you all good health and good times.
Dream:
Julia Wikar will be 18 years old on November 28, 2023. She is a wonderful, warm girl. She is the only daughter of Magdalena and Szymon and the apple of their eye. Life was not sparing Julia - in 2014 she completed epilepsy treatment, which was also a difficult experience for Julia and the family. Fortunately, no attacks have occurred to this day.
Life taught Julia humility, respect for life and people, and also strengthened her faith in God. She is characterized by extraordinary sensitivity to the suffering of other people. Her passion is fashion, cosmetology, sport and traveling. She was already planning her holidays at a youth camp by the sea, a trip with her parents and organizing her 18th birthday party.
A few months ago, Julia felt pain in her left knee joint. Her life collapsed in an instant - on June 9, 2023, an MRI of the knee joint revealed the worst possible suspicion of malignancy. On June 23, 2023, after a previous biopsy, it was detected high-grade cancer - High Grade Conventional Osteosarcoma.
From the Hospital in Wrocław, we were referred for treatment to the Institute of Mother and Child in Warsaw, where the first cycle of chemotherapy was administered on June 28, 2023. Due to the high degree of histological malignancy osteosarcoma, Julia requires combined oncological treatment, which consists of: chemotherapy, surgery and adjuvant chemotherapy, as well as demanding rehabilitation.
Julia is facing long-term treatment, which is carried out at the Institute of Mother and Child in Warsaw, which also significantly complicates our functioning and significantly increases the costs of treatment. As a mother, I was forced to stop working because Julia requires constant care from us, the parents. Julia cannot cope with this situation very well and is under the care of a psychologist.
After the first stage of chemotherapy treatment, Julia will undergo surgical treatment, i.e. removal of the tumor and then undergo knee arthroplasty. The operation depends on your health condition and progress in chemotherapy. Currently, chemotherapy cycles are delayed due to Julia's pneumonia and stomatitis. After the surgical treatment, Julia will require long-term rehabilitation and constant care from third parties. She will have to relearn how to walk and will have to strengthen her muscle strength
Post-operative treatment may take about 2 years. Julia's cancer is the source of a lot of pain, and long-term treatment and the administered drugs make her extremely tired and weaken her immunity.
Julia would like to return to her health and life before the illness as quickly as possible. First of all, she dreams of regaining her eyebrows, eyelashes and hair. She would like to be able to go on holiday again and enjoy life like her peers.
We estimate that the total expenses for Julia's treatment may exceed PLN 80,000, so we would like to thank you for any help that brings Julia closer to overcoming this serious disease.
