My name is Marek. In mid-2023, I heard the diagnosis: malignant tumor of the large intestine. Metastases to the liver and lungs also occurred. It was devastating news, but I immediately decided to fight. Currently, I have already undergone 6 chemotherapy treatments, which still need to be continued. The latest CT scan shows that there are changes for the better. This fills me with optimism and gives me motivation to continue treatment. My family supports me in this, without whom I would have given up a long time ago. I try to spend every moment with her and just enjoy life. I often think back to the times when I played sports and hiked in the mountains. I was very active, also professionally. I realize that I have a long way to go to regain my old life. I am undergoing chemotherapy in Białystok, but I am also undergoing treatment abroad, which unfortunately is not reimbursed, but may allow me to recover. Invoices are issued in Euro - on average several hundred euros per visit and medicines per month. This is beyond my financial means.

 

However, I, my wife and children, and I deeply believe, given the recent results showing that the treatment undertaken will work. Even more so if I can benefit from the selfless help of people of good will.
