Jarek's situation is stable. Treatment has been completed. Of course, he undergoes regular tests and is under constant medical supervision.

Update from April 21, 2020

Due to the current restrictions caused by the coronavirus pandemic, planned visits to specialists have been canceled. We managed to perform a computed tomography scan, we are waiting for the results - they will determine the next treatment plan.

Update of 27/01/2020

Jarek finished chemotherapy. The last cycles were very difficult for him, but he managed. Now he is waiting for visits and tests. The hospital scheduled the first examination in four months. This is a long deadline, so in the meantime he also plans to seek the opinions of other doctors.

Update of 17/08/2019

Jarek is in good shape and tolerates chemotherapy well. Dominika makes sure that her husband's diet provides him with all the necessary ingredients, the effects of which are visible in Jarek's good shape.

Jarek started chemotherapy. So far, he is coping with the treatment very well.

DREAM:

Hi my name is Jarek and my biggest dream is to be able, together with my wife, to introduce our two-year-old daughter to adulthood.
I am 44 years old and a happy husband and father. Everything was going well until April this year. In an instant our happiness was shattered. I have colon cancer – it was a shock, especially since this type of cancer affects people aged 65-75, and it affected me now.
I met my wife Dominika a few years ago. We've been waiting for each other for a long time. Since we met, we have found peace. She was born in July 2017 our daughter Antosia. Even though she is a terrible bandit, she is our greatest blessing. Last December, in the presence of family and friends, we finally said the sacramental yes.
Antosia, like every two-year-old, loves exploring the world. She is interested in everything, she has to touch everything, go everywhere. We love accompanying her every step of the way. We are waiting until she is a little older to show her the corners of Poland. The first place on our list is Warmia and Mazury - my favorite region. None of my girls have been there yet. I, however, have spent the lion's share of my life there and I can't wait to show it all to them.
The disease was a brutal surprise for us. After almost three weeks of feeling bad, I went to the emergency room and from there straight to the operating room. Dominika and I were sure that all this time I was struggling with some form of intestinal flu and I was going to the hospital just to be hydrated. The reality turned out to be different. The tumor blocked the intestine. During the procedure, I had a stoma inserted.
It was hard for a man in his prime who had never been sick or even taken antibiotics, and that was just the beginning. After 3 weeks, the test results came back. Colon cancer, very malignant, very aggressive. It is developing rapidly and we need money for non-reimbursed treatment that we cannot pay in full ourselves.
I don't break down, I don't give up, I don't give up. I fight because I have someone to live for. On the wedding day, I promised my wife (even though we didn't know yet what fate had in store for us) that together we would introduce Antosia to adult life. And I will keep my promise.
