My name is Gabriela. In February this year I got the diagnosis pancreatic cancer. The first challenge was to combat jaundice by prosthetics of the bile ducts. Unfortunately, there were complications and surgery was necessary, during which a biopsy was also taken for histopathological examination. For this reason, I was able to start chemotherapy in the second half of March.

During chemotherapy I felt differently, there were good and bad days. For me, however, the most difficult thing was the fear - how I would endure the treatment, what the entire procedure would look like and what its effect would be. I wanted to do everything in my power to be less afraid and recover, so I started looking for methods of supporting treatment in various areas - diet, supplementation, infusions, psychological support, physiotherapy - which involves very high treatment costs.

The tumor is not shrinking yet, and the coming weeks will show whether surgery will be necessary and, if so, whether it can be performed considering the unfortunate location of the tumor and my significant weight loss.

I don't stop hoping. I want to fight, I want to live and I am looking for different solutions.

My dream is to feel good and have strength to do what I like to do. I have always been a physically active person - I love mountains, skiing, dancing. Now I also try to exercise and enjoy the view of the mountains whenever possible. I love Argentine tango and I would love to go to Argentina one day to meet the best dancers. I won't give up easily.
